Hi, it is our pleasure to formally invite you, your teams and family to participate in the 5th Annual Casuarina Cup conducted at the Domain Beach Resort from the Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd of February 2009. The format of this outstanding party and highly competitive sporting carnival has been expanded this year to include Friday night Touch preliminaries, 400 beds, Junior Touch, Masters Touch and the all new Bicycle Road Racing events. Casuarina is more than football, it is an experience for competitors, managers, families and our crew to play sport at the 5 star resort [with pool, tennis courts, surf beach, café, bar, gym etc]. Park your car, book your bed as an individual or a unit over looking the fields, or stay in private apartments – attend our Friday night onfield BBQ, then get fresh for the Saturday night awards, gourmet dinner and party band.

This year we can accommodate 52 teams, [200 more beds] and frankly with nearly 20 nominations already we expect to be fully booked by early January. So we encourage all teams, referees to submit this nomination form NOW as your expression of interest. A formal booking will be confirmed with you late January.

For our referees and crew – we are seeking to take a team of 30 referees, 10 player referees and a crew of 15, so get in early as positions will be limited. 

We specially wish to warmly welcome our Juniors players, teams and their families to QTL’s first ever Junior Tournament. This is a fantastic opportunity for our young players to compete and equally attend a major senior Tournament. The grand final after lunch will be played on the field 1 with the entire Senior competition halted and watching.  We welcome all nominations. 

The Casuarina Cup has expanded and includes two Road Racing events namely a criterion [30minutes] and mountain ride 60km. It is our pleasure to host this event with the FFAST Bike Club under the auspice of Cycling Queensland. We invite both social and competitive riders to participate in the individual and teams categories.

QTL expects to have the ongoing support of SQBD and will welcome their involvement over the weekend.

Where: THE BEST BEACH SIDE RESORT AND FOOTY FIELDS ANYWHERE…….Casuarina Beach, Tweed Coast, NSW - Approx, 1 hour drive from Brisbane...

When: All teams will be required to play games on Friday February 20. Saturday games all day, followed by awards presentation, party and band. 400 beds have booked

Cost: accommodation is about AUD $50 per head per night, team fees are AUD $300

Who: All teams welcome (QLD/ATA/PURE/TFA), no affiliations required.  Just nominate and have some fun.

COMPETITIVE - Battle it out 'Head-to-Head' against other serious Touch Heads [mens/mixed] in your grade.

SOCIAL - Bring your friends, bring your mates, bring their mates, bring your family - enter your team for some serious but fast Touch.
